When a 12 V battery is connected across an unknown resistor, there is a current of 2.5 mA in the circuit. Find the value of the resistance of the resistor.
NOTE-answer is in kΩ so if your answer is 3.78kΩ just enter 3.78

Eh. k W ?
i first converted the mA to A by dividing 2.5 by 1000 giving me 0.0025A. then ohms lams applied from there
off course 4.8 k
4.8 k ohm or 4800 ohm

This problem is easy.Ohms Law is V = I R so now you substitute 1 2 v = 2 . 5 ∗ 1 0 3 ∗ ( R ) By simple divison the answer is 4 . 8 ∗ 1 0 3 as we are told the the answer is 4 . 8 k W .
