Electricity And Magnitism, Resistance

When a 12 V battery is connected across an unknown resistor, there is a current of 2.5 mA in the circuit. Find the value of the resistance of the resistor.

NOTE-answer is in kΩ so if your answer is 3.78kΩ just enter 3.78

The answer is 4.8.

This problem is easy.Ohms Law is V = I R V=IR so now you substitute 12 v = 2.5 1 0 3 ( R ) 12v=2.5*10^3*(R) By simple divison the answer is 4.8 1 0 3 4.8*10^3 as we are told the the answer is 4.8 k W \boxed{4.8kW} .

Eh. k W kW ?

i first converted the mA to A by dividing 2.5 by 1000 giving me 0.0025A. then ohms lams applied from there
