This is my solution :)

I could not scan the image; but here is my method.

Though i respect your method and approach....yet this ques.absolutely do not require that much long soln. Here is a simple logic--> Resistors are in series... so ...Voltage is directly proportional to R hence ...R=(7×6.6)÷15.4
