A particle of charge 5C moves perpendicularly to magnetic field of magnitude 0.01T. If the velocity of the charge is 1.5m/s, calculate the magnitude of the force exerted on the particle?

The answer is 0.075.

Force on a moving charge is: qvB sin theta, where theta is angle between velocity and mag. field vectors. Here it is 90 and hence sin theta = 1. F is simply 5 * 0.01 * 1.5
