Electron Cofiguration

Chemistry Level 2

The above are the atomic and ionic electron configurations of arbitrary elements A, B, C and D with period 2 2 or 3. 3. Which of the following statements is NOT correct about the neutral atoms A, B, C and D?

The electron configuration of B is ground state. The electron affinity of A and the ionization energy of B have the same value. The atomic radius of C is greater than that of D. The ionization energy of A is greater than that of B.

Only two options are most probable. But same is not easy, therefore ionization energy of A greater than B should be true although less attracted by less amount of protons with greater radius, taking away 2nd electron should require less energy than 1st electron of electron pairs.
