let there be a date as x in any year . and let its day be y . then , the following year on the same date of the same month day would be y+1 . but in the case of a leap year any date after 29 feb would have day as y +2 Hence according to the question christmas date = 25 / 12 / 2014 . since next year is not a leap year - therefore day = +1 i.e. thursday +1 = friday
