A number engineering students hopeful decided to have an excursion after their licensure examination. They hired a boat for $56. But for some reasons, two of them were not able to join the excursion, so the share of each remaining in the group increased by $3.20. How many were in the original group?

lets take total persons = x

original cost on each person =y

so y=56/x

2 persons exits the camp so total persons know are = x-2

56/(x-2)=Y+3.20

on solving the two equations X= 7 or -5

X cant be negative so X=7
