θ = 180 4 6 = 12 0 \theta = \dfrac{180 * 4}{6} = 120^{\circ}

In the diagram above A B C \triangle{ABC} is equilateral B C = A B \implies BC = AB and B C = A C BC = AC

14 = 5 + x + y \implies 14 = 5 + x + y and 14 = 13 + y 9 = x + y 14 = 13 + y \implies 9 = x + y and y = 1 x = 8 y = 1 \implies x = 8

x + y = 9 \implies x + y = \boxed{9} .
