Equivalent resistance 2

What will be the equivalent resistance between A A and B B in the above diagram?

50.0 Ω 50.0 \text{ } \Omega 35.0 Ω 35.0 \text{ } \Omega 30.0 Ω 30.0 \text{ } \Omega 27.5 Ω 27.5 \text{ } \Omega

Since the required current flows from A A to B B , no current flows through the bottom-left and bottom-right 10 10 - Ω \Omega resistors, which are therefore not involved in the calculations.

Hence, the equivalent resistance,

R e q = 10 + 10 / / ( 10 + 10 + 10 ) + 10 R_{eq} = 10+10//(10+10+10)+10

= 10 + 10 × 30 10 + 30 + 10 = 10 + 0.75 + 10 = 27.5 Ω \quad \quad = 10+\cfrac{10\times 30}{10+30}+10 = 10+0.75+10=\boxed{27.5}\space \Omega .
