Add the first and last numbers in each bracket and divide this sum by the difference between the two middle numbers to get the final result, ie.

2 + 4 2 1 = 6 1 = 6 \frac{2+4}{2-1} = \frac{6}{1} = 6

8 + 10 8 2 = 18 6 = 3 \frac{8+10}{8-2} = \frac{18}{6} = 3

3 + 4 9 2 = 7 7 = 1 \frac{3+4}{9-2} = \frac{7}{7} = 1

10 + 10 10 6 = 20 4 = 5 \frac{10+10}{10-6} = \frac{20}{4} = \boxed{5}
