A A student follows the instructions below:


  • Walk straight for 40 40 meters.
  • Turn back and walk straight for 80 80 meters.

What is the distance the student ends up from where he started walking ? ?

-40 m 120 m 40 m 80 m

Consider , Position A

A= 40 m

He turn back and then walk staright by same path upto 80 m.

so,

we've to substract distance ,

A-X = 80

40-X= 80

 X = -40 m

but distance never calculate in minus so, Answer is to be 40 m...
