Exit Polls in India are way too fascinating!

Algebra Level 4

Note: This problem assumes that you are familiar with the working of Indian politics

The exit polls are now in India. There are 543 seats in total in Lok Sabha elections. The elections are for each of the 543 seats. The exit polls show that the overall vote share in India will be as follows:

Party A : 51-52%

Party B : 32-33%

Party C : 15-16%

Suppose this vote share remains constant throughout the country and the vote share for each seat remains the same. How many seats will Party A get in the elections according to these exit polls?

277 282 543 280

The question's details contains the answer :)

It clearly mentions that the vote share for each seat remains as 51-52% for Party A. Thus it will go on to win all the seats.
