Let the old price be $ x / L \blue{\$x/L}

According to the question : 20 x + 10 ( x + 0.02 ) = 9.2 2 x + x + 0.02 = 0.92 3 x = 0.9 x = 0.3 o l d p r i c e = $ 0.3 / L \red{20x+10(x+0.02)=9.2}\Rightarrow \green{2x+x+0.02=0.92}\Rightarrow \blue{3x=0.9}\Rightarrow \red{x=0.3}\Rightarrow \green{old\space price = \$0.3/L}
