6 son + 1 sister (daughter) + 1 mother + 1 father = 9 persons

The couple itself makes two, plus the six sons make 8. Each son shares the same sister, so 8+1=9.

Each son has one sister.: they are all brothers and if each had a sister of they're own there would be 12 kids and each would have 6 sisters which means each shared the one sister. 2 parents 6 sons and 1 daughter= 9 people

Each son had one sister. It does not mean that that there were six sisters. It mean that they have one sister. So 6 sons 1 daughter and obviously a couple means two so total there are nine person. They are really increasing the population

That's not proper usage of the word "each."

The problem says that there must be a couple(that's obviously composed of 2 people). And, they have six sons, who have one sister each. Considering the fact that their sister isn't a fruit, we can say that they all have one common sister among themselves. So we have 2+6+1=9 members in the family.

How is there one daughter when the question states, Each son has one sister ? That means that for each son, there is one sister. Results: 6 sons, 6 daughters, and two parents. Please explain further on how you got nine people in the family.

The single daughter is a sister to each of the 6 sons.
