→Given x+2 is a factor
→Now,putting x=-2 in the polynomial.
4 × ( 2 ) 3 a × ( 2 ) 2 b × ( 2 ) + 18 = 0 4×(-2)^{3}-a×(-2)^{2}-b×(-2)+18=0
b 2 a = 7....... ( 1 ) b-2a=7.......(1)
→By Vieta's Formula
α \alpha + β \beta + γ \gamma = a 4 \frac{a}{4}
α \alpha × β \beta × γ \gamma = 18 4 \frac{-18}{4}
→Given two zeroes equal and one zero -2
α \alpha + 2 β 2\beta = a 4 \frac{a}{4}
2 -2 + 2 β 2\beta = a 4 \frac{a}{4}
β \beta = a + 8 8 . . . . . . ( 2 ) \frac{a+8}{8}......(2)
α \alpha × β 2 \beta^{2} = 18 4 \frac{-18}{4}
2 -2 × β 2 \beta^{2} = 9 2 \frac{-9}{2}
β \beta = 3 2 . . . . . ( 3 ) \frac{3}{2}.....(3)
→Now equating (2) and(3).
a + 8 8 \frac{a+8}{8} = 3 2 \frac{3}{2}

→Now putting value of 'a' in (1).
b 2 a = 7 b-2a=7
b = 15 b=15
a × b = 4 × 15 a×b=4×15
