Find the area

If the length and the width of the larger rectangle be $l$ and $b$ , then those of the smaller rectangle are $\dfrac{l}{2}$ and $\dfrac{b}{2}$ respectively. Then $\dfrac{lb}{4}=10$ . Total area of the two rectangles is $\dfrac {5lb}{4}=\boxed {50}$ .
