One day, there was a piece of cake meant for Eric. However, it went missing. His parents, Mr and Mrs Tan, suspected that one of his siblings ate the piece of cake and so questioned them. Here were their answers:
Charles: It wasn't Alfred. It was Darius.
Darius: It wasn't Brenda. Neither was it Charles.
Brenda: It wasn't Charles. It was Alfred.
Alfred: It wasn't Darius. It was Charles.
Each of them made exactly ONE true statement and ONE false statement. Who ate the piece of cake?

The easiest way would be to first look at Darius' statements. Since exactly one of his statements was false, either Brenda or Charles was the culprit. If Charles ate the cake, then looking at Alfred's statments, both would turn out to be true would contradicts with the fact that Alfred told a lie. Hence Brenda ate the cake.
