A 2-digit number (the first is not 0) a b ab when multiplied by the same number but with the digits reversed b a ba results in 2944. find a b + b a ab+ba

Note: a b ab is not multiplication but a 2 digit number in the form 10 a + b 10a+b

factorise 2944. you get 64*46.

First think which pair of digits will give unit digit 4 We will get : 1)9,6 2)8,8 3)8,3 4)7,2 5)6,4 6)4,1 7)2,2 first & second will give higher product so they are cancelled fourth ,sixth and seventh too will be cancelled as they will give lower product so only possible cases : 8,3 & 6,4 83*38=3154 so a = 6 &b = 4 (or a=4&b=6 But that doesn't matter as we have to find ab+ba ) so, ab +ba = 64+46 = 110
