Fish Census

Level pending

100 fish are at Peach's house one day for a party. Unfortunately, one fish is infected with the Wannahockaloogie virus. The virus is received if you talk to someone infected by it(in this case the person infected in the first place is still infected). But if two infected people talk to each other, they both are no longer infected. If everybody talks to everybody else once, what is the difference between the greatest and least number of people that can be affected by the end?

The answer is 100.

If you have four people, one of which is infected, you can have none of them be infected in 6 moves. So do these moves first to have 0 infected. If everybody talks to everybody but the infected person, and then the infected person talks to everybody else at the end, then all 100 people will be infected, so 100.

L O L \Huge{\color{#D61F06}{LOL}} I just guessed it to be 100 \boxed{\Huge{100}} :P
