Flip a coin pt. 1 (Simple)

Jamie has two coins, one being bias and the other not. The bias one is to land on heads 30% of the time and tails 70%, while the non-bias is 50/50. If I was to flip each coin 10 times, find the expected number of heads obtained.

The answer is 8.

1 solution

The bias one would land 3/10 x 10. That is 3. Then, the non-bias one would land on heads 5 times as it is a fair coin. 5+3 = 8
