A rectangular sheet of paper is inches long and inches wide. It is then folded diagonally so that the vertex on the upper right corner meets the vertex on the lower left corner, dividing the rectangle into two parts. What is the length of the dividing line in inches?
Give your answer to 2 decimal places.

My solution here is I cut a piece of paper with the actual dimension. I folded it diagonally so that the vertex of the upper right corner meets the vertex of the lower left corner. I measured the dividing line using a measuring tape. It is 10 inches.
