FORMING A PENDULUM

Classical Mechanics Level pending

A thin hoop is hinged at a point A so that at the initial moment its center of mass is above point A .Then the hoop is smoothly released, and in a time T=0.5sec,its center of mass occupies the lowest position.

Determine the time T in which a pendulum formed by a heavy ball B fixed on a weightless rigid rod whose length is equal to the radius if the hoop will return to the lowest equilibrium position if initially the ball was at the extreme upper position and was released without pushing?

The answer is 0.35.
