One person has some money in his pocket, He visits four temple on the way. As soon as he enters a temple, his money gets double and he offers Rs. 100 in each temple. thus his pocket gets empty after he returns from the fourth temple. How much money he had initially ?

Let the amount of money he initially carry be x. Since the money gets doubled and reduces by 100 at each temple the equation becomes 2x-100 after leaving the first temple. So the final equation after leaving the fourth temple will be 2{2[2(2x-100)-100]-100}-100=0. By this equation you'll get the solution as 93.75.
