14 6 = 84 14 \cdot 6 = 84

84 3 6 2 10 = 46 84 - 3 \cdot 6 - 2 \cdot 10 = 46

14 squares facing forward 14 squares facing backward 4 squares on top 1 square facing up on top of 2nd row from bottom (no matter the position, there's one square unit exposed) 3 squares on bottom 1 unit square of area on each of 2nd row, 4th row from bottom facing down 4 squares on each of left, right side 14 + 14 + 4 + 1 + 3 + 1 + 1 + 4 + 4 =46
