3x/5 - 2x/7=44 So x is 140

3/5 x = 2/7 x + 44, multiply both sides of the equation by the LCD, it results to 10x + 1540 = 21x, subtraction property of equality then divide both sides by the coefficient of the variable, x = 140

I did it this way -

Let the required number be x x

According to the given condition, 3 5 o f x 2 7 o f x = 44 \frac{3}{5} of x - \frac{2}{7} of x = 44

= 3 5 x 2 7 x = 44 \frac{3}{5}x - \frac{2}{7}x = 44

= 21 x 10 x = 35 44 21x -10x = 35 * 44

x = 35 44 / 11 = 140 x = 35 * 44 / 11 = 140

I too did that way
