3/5 x = 2/7 x + 44, multiply both sides of the equation by the LCD, it results to 10x + 1540 = 21x, subtraction property of equality then divide both sides by the coefficient of the variable, x = 140
I did it this way -

= 5 3 x − 7 2 x = 4 4
= 2 1 x − 1 0 x = 3 5 ∗ 4 4
x = 3 5 ∗ 4 4 / 1 1 = 1 4 0
