A camera fell from a plane flying horizontally and it took 27 seconds to reach the ground. If air resistance is neglected, calculate the height of the plane (in km \text{km} ) at which it was flying at that moment from the ground. Take g = 9.8 m s 2 g = \SI{9.8}{\meter\per\second\squared} .

Submit your answer to 1 decimal place.

The answer is 3.6.

s = ut + 1/2 at^2

Initial velocity = u = 0;

So,

s = 1/2 at^2

here, a = g = 9.8 m/s^2 and t = 27 s

s = 1/2 (9.8 * 27 * 27)

s = 1/2 (7144.2)

s = 3572.1 m

s = 3.5 km (approx.)

Please tell what to take for g g ? Because for 10 m / s 2 10m/s^2 and 9.8 m / s 2 9.8 m/s^2 answers are very different.
