frictionless world

if we assumed that there is no friction or damping and we pushed a body (and gave it initial velocity) what would happen?

assumptions: neglect gravity and attraction forces between masses and there is no any kind of retardation force

the body will move to infinity the body will move larger displacement than of with friction but in the end will stop same as medium with friction and damping the body will move less displacement than that of medium with friction

Since there will be no opposing force on the particle so it will move till infinity without and retardation according to the 1st law of motion

simply if there is no friction there is no any force to stop the body and body will keep that initial velocity forever and that's why japan train maglev is very fast but there they avoided ground friction with train but still there is air friction
