Wheels do have friction, but instead of it leading to you having difficulty with moving the object, this friction helps wheel roll, further easing your movement

Wien you use a Trolley to carry an object, you change the type of friction. When the weight (an iron block for example) is resting in the ground, it not moves at all by Newton's First Law. The type of friction that acts in this body is the static. When you starts to apply a force, you need first to apply a more intense force than the estatic friction force.

When it happen another force will be against you: the kinect friction. To move the block more easily you will need to apply more force and do more work.

When you use the trolley the wheels only make Static Friction. There is no Kinect Friction because there is no sliding. Then you need less force to induce motion and less work to procede.

Too simplistic from my opinion, Coulomb works on friction did show it is way more complicated.
