Since it's a function we can say that
y = x − 1 1 x − 1 1
For a function to be periodic it needs to have a range of values which it keeps to, to find out if it does we need to evaluate.
y = 1
So it's a straight line going through the y -axis at y = 1 parallel to the x -axis. In other words there is no range of values so it isn't periodic.
