First select one from each fruit so that we have at least one of each fruit with us. Now, we are left with 3 mangoes, 2 apples and 1 orange whose selections can be made in 4x3x2=24 ways (To know how the selections are made, refer to my solution here ) .

The number of mangoes chosen can be 1,2,3 or 4 : 4 ways

The number of mangoes chosen can be 1,2 or 3 : 3 ways

The number of mangoes chosen can be 1 or 2 : 2 ways

4 × 3 × 2 = 12 4\times3\times2=12

@BK Lim It should be 24 not 12
