Let A B C ABC be a right triangle such that A B AB is the hypotenuse and D D the right angle point from C C on the hypotenuse. If C D = 12 CD = 12 . Find the value of A B AB when the perimeter equals 38.

AB=c, BC=a, AC=b & CD=12

Hence ab=12c & a+b+c=38

a²+b²=c²

(a+b)²-2ab=c²

(38-c)²-24c=c²

1444-100c=0 or c=14.44
