FInd this without using the infinite geometric progression formula. You should derive it to use it

let 2^(-1) be x, 1+x^(1)+x^(2)...=u 1+x(1+x+x^2+x^(3)...)=u 1+xu=u 1=u-ux 1=u(1-x) 1(1-x)=u 1(1-2^(-1))=2
