The line y = 3 x 1 y=3x-1 has a slope of 3 and a y y -intercept of -1. Therefore, it matches Graph A.

Notice that both Graph B and Graph C have negative slopes.

Since graphs B , C B, C have negative slopes, Graph A \fbox A is the answer.

  • The line has y y -intercept is ( 1 ) (-1) .
  • Only line C has that as ( 1 ) (-1) , hence C is the answer
