y = 180 49 48 = 83 y=180-49-48=83

The sum of the interior angles of a parallelogram is 36 0 360^\circ , so

2 x + 2 y = 360 2x+2y=360

2 x + 2 ( 83 ) = 360 2x+2(83)=360

2 x = 194 2x=194

x = 97 \boxed{x=97}

49+48+x=180

x+y=180

y=48+49=97
