Gerund will give nine identical cookies to four different people. How many ways can Gerund give out the cookies?

Note: Gerund can give someone no cookies, or another person all the cookies!

We use stars and bars. We have 9 + 4 1 = 12 9+4-1=12 stars and 4 1 = 3 4-1=3 bars. Therefore, we have ( 12 3 ) = 220 \binom{12}{3}=\boxed{220} ways to split the cookies.

Yup. That was how I solved/made it too :)
