In one hour monkey moves only 5 feets above (15-10) in 21 hrs. monkey moves 21*5=105 feets in the 22nd hour it m oves up 15 more feets n reaches the surface n doesn't slip down hence 21 hrs after 3pm is 1 pm.

every hour monkey jumps 15 feets and comes back 10 feet , in result monkey jumps 5 feet every hour. At 12 am monkey is at 105 feet and monkey required 15 feet to reach the surface so he jumps 15 feets and reaches the surface at 1 pm.
