It is simple... The starting letters of the sequence are actually the days of the week. They are arranged in an alternative way.
M is monday
W is wednesday
F is friday
S is sunday
T is tuesday
THEREFORE, the next letter is T for thursday.
The numerical value of T is 20 and therefore, 20 - 2 = 18... which is the right answer!!!
