Go crazy with variable (number 1)

Algebra Level 1

If ( x + A ) ( x + B ) (x+A)(x+B) is equal to ( x + C ) ( x + D ) (x+C)(x+D) , express x x in terms of A , B , C A,B,C and/or D D .

(AB-CD)/(A+B-C-D) 1/(AB-CD) 1/(A+B-C-D) (A+B-C-D)/(AB-CD) (CD-AB)/(A+B-C-D)

THE SOLUTION GOES LIKE THIS.....................

(x+A)(x+B)=(x+C)(x+D)

x^2+Ax+Bx+AB=x^2+Cx+Dx+CD THE TWO x^2 WILL BE CANCELLED.......... THUS GIVING US...............

Ax+Bx+AB=Cx+Dx+CD

BY FACTORING,WE GET............. (A+B)x+AB=(C+D)x+CD

BY TRANSPOSING TERMS,WE GET.............. (A+B)x-(C+D)x=CD-AB

BY DISTRIBUTING THE NEGATIVE SIGN, (A+B-C-D)x=CD-AB

AND BY DIVIDING BOTH SIDES BY (A+B-C-D) WE CAN GET THE VALUE x=(CD-AB)/(A+B-C-D) AS OUR FINAL ANSWER............... THANK YOU.........:-)

Not sure about this question, all I can work out is that I need a number 2
