Google won't help !!!

Hey readers....I was thinking of a number which when divided by :

2 gives remainder 1

3 gives remainder 2

4 gives remainder 3

5 gives remainder 4

6 gives remainder 5

7 gives remainder 6

8 gives remainder 7

9 gives remainder 8

10 gives remainder 9

First I was confused.... But then I got a way to solve it....can you tell what is 2nd such smallest number ???

The answer is 5039.

We see that the number is always 1 smaller than 2,3.4,5.6,7,8,9,10's multiples....so smaller such no will be 1 smaller than 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 ,10' s LCM .....

LCM of 2,3,4.......,7,8,9,10 is 2520....

Thereby smaller such no. Is 2520-1=2519

But we want second such smallest number...

So we should find 2nd smallest common multiple of 1,2........,9,10 which will be 2520*2=5040

Thereby 2nd such smallest number is 5039 \boxed{5039}

What about 1259!!!

First think : is 1260 a common multiple of 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 ??? The answer will be no.......Also 1259 doesn't satisfy the conditions of 8 ;) bcuz 1260 is not divisible by 8!!!
