Guesswork

There is a number I have in mind. It could be a multiple of 2, 3, and 4, but I will tell you that it is a multiple of only 2 of those numbers.

The same number that I'm thinking of must be a multiple of:

6 9 4 3 8 2

The number can't be a multiple of only 4 and 3 since then it would also be a multiple of 2. So, it is either a multiple of 2 and 3 or 3 and 4. Therefore it is definitely a multiple of 2 . Because 3 and 4 are coprime, we can't draw any further conclusions.

Since the number is a multiple of any two of 2, 3, 4, it will be an even number for sure. Hence it will be a multiple of 2.
