  1. A D C = A C D = 7 0 A C = A D \angle ADC = \angle ACD = 70^{\circ} \implies AC = AD

  2. Construct a circle centered at A A and passes through C C and D D .

  3. C A D = 4 0 , C B D = 2 0 B \angle CAD = 40^{\circ} , \angle CBD = 20^{\circ} \implies B is on the circle. (Inscribed angle theorem)

  4. B A C = 2 B D C = 8 0 \angle BAC = 2\angle BDC = 80^{\circ} (Inscribed angle theorem)

x = 8 0 \therefore x = 80^{\circ}
