2 x + 7 = 3 x + 8 2x+7=3x+8

( 2 x + 7 ) 2 x = ( 3 x + 8 ) 2 x (2x+7){\color{#D61F06}-2x}=(3x+8){\color{#D61F06}-2x}

7 = x + 8 7=x+8

7 8 = ( x + 8 ) 8 7{\color{#D61F06}-8}=(x+8){\color{#D61F06}-8}

1 = x -1=x

2x+7=3x+8 Then 2x+7-3x=8 Then -x=8-7 Then -x=1 So x=-1
