Hard Work Doesn't Pays Off

Level pending

Esteban and Via can make a coat in 3 days. They will get paid $100 less for every day more than 3 that they take to make the coat. Working alone, Via can make the coat in 4 days. If Esteban was making the coat on his own, how much money would he make less?

The answer is 900.

Esteban and Via - 3 days, Via alone- 4 days, Esteban alone -3 *4 =12 days. Now, extra days taken = 12 - 3 =9 days, since $100 - 1 day, so 9 days - 9 *100 = $900 .
