Using the hardy-weinberg equation, $p^2$ +2pq + $q^2$ =1-------eqn1
$p^2$ =freq of homozygous dominant
2pq=freq of heterozygous
$q^2$ = freq of homozygous recessive
p= freq of dominant allele
q= freq of recessive allele
also p+q=1---------eqn2
eqn1 is the binomial expansion of eqn2
$p^2$ = $\frac{200}{500}$
$p^2$ = 0.4
This is the required frequency
