Harmonic acceleration!!!

A train stopping at 2 stations 4 km apart takes 4 min on the journey from one of the station to the other.Assuming it first accelerates with uniform acceleration x and then that of uniform retardation y. Find the value of 1 x + 1 y \frac{1}{x} \quad + \quad \frac{1}{y} .

Give your answer in m i n 2 min^{2} . k m 1 km^{-1}

The answer is 2.
