Head on Car Collision with Concrete Barrier

A car is traveling at 20 m/s and the driver is not looking ahead. When he looks at the road ahead he realizes there is a concrete barrier ahead. The barrier is of sufficient mass to be immovable by the car. He hits his brakes and slides into the wall 0.5 seconds later. The coefficient of friction between the tires and the road is 0.7. The mass of the car is 1301 Kg and the mass of the man is 78 Kg. He is the only passenger in the vehicle and is wearing his seatbelt. He hits the wall and comes to a complete stop. A time lapsed camera witnesses the accident and investigators determine that the car stops moving at t=0.072 sec. after hitting the wall, and the man comes stops moving at t=0.112 seconds. What is the force of the seatbelt on the driver in KN? Assume the seatbelt acts on his center of gravity and take g=9.81 m/s^2.

The answer is 11.5.
