Since two hens lay two eggs every two days, that means that each hen lays an egg every two days. Since you have eight hens, they will lay eight eggs every two days. The problem is asking for the amount of eggs the eight hens will lay in eight days, so multiply the eight eggs by four (two days multiplied by four equals to your eight days, so you need to keep the equation equal) and you get thirty-two eggs as your answer.
