Mr. and Mrs. Anderson both have tightly curled hair. The Andersons have a child with wavy hair. Mr. Anderson accuses Mrs. Anderson of being unfaithful to him. Is he necessarily justified?

Hint: The hair form gene shows incomplete dominance i.e. if there are two alleles, curly (CC) and straight (cc) the heterozygote (Cc)has wavy hair.

the straight hair gene (cc) couldn't have come from Mr. Anderson... :P

Yeah, but couldn’t it be CC x Cc or Cc x Cc ? I haven’t studied incomplete dominance yet, so is it like that that gene can not dominate fully and everytime there is Cc the child has wavy hair?

both parents have to be CC beacuse as long as the genotype is heterozygous (Cc) is automatically becomes wavy hair so if both parents have curly hair they are both CC meaning that all their kids are gonna become CC and not one os Cc and since Cc represents wavy hair and the child has wavy hair its definitely justified.
