There are 40 passengers in the bus
It said at the first stop, half of it got off and the 10 passengers got on, so there will still 30 passengers in the bus
Then at the second stop, half of 30 passengers got off and after it, 10 got on, so there will be 25 passengers in the bus
According to the question, the answer is 25
After first station, 40/2+10=30 passengers left After second station, 30/2+10=25 passengers left
Hi Charlton
Start=40 passengers.
First stop (half of the passengers got off and then 10 passengers got on) that means 40 divide by 2 plus 10 =30.
Second stop(half of the passengers got off and then 10 passengers got on) that means 30 divided by 2 plus 10=25
can you please use proper mathematical law, i don't understand that solution
After 1st stop: #40-20+10=30
After 2nd stop: #30-15+10=25
therefore, the answer is 25
25
Can you write what you mean?
as 40/2 + 10 = 30 on first stop and 30/2 + 10=25 on bus
40 - (40/2) = 40 -20 = 20 Then... 20 + 10 = 30 Next... 30 - (30/2) = 30-15 =15 Then... 15 + 10 = 25
40-20=20 --> 20+10=30 --> 30-15=15 --> 15+10=25
(40/2) + 10 =30 (30/2) + 10 =25
After 1st stop: #40-20+10=30
After 2nd stop: #30-15+10=25
therefore, the answer is 25
