Geometry Level pending

IF time on a circular wall clock moves from 12:24 hrs to 14:36 hrs, the hour hand moves by X degree. What is the value of X???

In 12 12 hour or 12 × 60 12\times 60 minutes the hour hand moves 36 0 360 ^{\circ} .

So in 1 1 minute the hour hand moves 360 12 × 60 = 1 2 \frac{360}{12\times 60} = \frac{1}{2}^{\circ}

From 12 : 00 12:00 to 12 : 24 12:24 hour hand moves 24 × 1 2 = 12 24\times \frac{1}{2}^{\circ}=12

From 12 : 00 12:00 to 14 : 36 14:36 hour hand moves ( 2 × 60 + 36 ) × 1 2 = 7 8 (2\times 60+36) \times \frac{1}{2}^{\circ}= 78^{\circ}

So, X = 78 12 = 66 X=78-12=\fbox{66}
