In a cricket match , a batsman strikes a ball which then goes up into the air with an initial velocity of 60 m/s . But as the ball reaches the ground , the batsmen is out as the wicket keeper catches it. For how long did the ball remain in the air before falling into the keeper's hands ? (Take g = 10 m/s^2) (Find the duration in minutes) ( Neglect air resistance)

Here , we have to find duration for which the ball is in the air , that is the time of flight . We know that the time of flight is equal to a c c e l e r a t i o n d u e t o g r a v i t y 2 ∗ i n i t i a l v e l o c i t y . Here , the initial velocity (u) = 60 m/s . Therefore , time of flight is equal to 2*60/10 seconds = 12 seconds = 12/60 seconds = 0.2 seconds .
